A Chicago Tale

chicago-taleOne night in June we recorded Bill Hillmann at the Shunt Theatre Lounge. He read a short story about family and the neighborhood he grew up in. A compelling mix of brutality and tenderness, memory and vision. Juxtaposing Hillmann we have also ripped some early John Cage Chicago Street recordings from out of UbuWeb and stuck a few blues sounds in for your delight not to mention a powerful ten minute Eric Anderson joint. Final big mention to Harry Burgess and his song poem Chicago Cop. Our kind of town.
Enjoy.
